Film History

You can watch a movie without knowing the film history, but as soon as you get an insight into the history of the media you realize that so far you have only experienced half of it.

During this class our ambition is to provide the students with an overview of the history of film: from when the first live images were shown in the cinemas in 19th century up until today where computer effects and hand-held cameras have made their way to the screen. We watch and discuss the art of film that during the past centuries have given the audience many possibilities to wonder, be excited, fascinated and provoked.

This class gives you the tools to become a better moviegoer, and you will get inspiration for your own film Projects.
