Fee for Odder Hojskole 2009 and 2010

• Fee per week = 1,195 DKK (161 EUR). Including education, accommodation and all meals.
• Application fee = 1,000 DKK (140 EUR)
• Fee for materials = 1,500 DKK (205 EUR) (Read more at the end of this page)

Total fee for 18 weeks (Autumn) = 21,510 DKK (2,823 EUR)
Total fee for 20 weeks (Spring) = 23,900 DKK = (3,203 EUR)

Extra price for a single room is 150 DKK per week = (20 EUR)
The compulsory 4 to 5 days study trip is included in the fee except for the meals during the study trip.

Students from the new EU Member Countries.

For students from 12 new EU Member Countries there is a Grant Scheme supported by the EU and administrated by Cirius.
You may study  nearly free of charge at Odder Hojskole if you get supported by the Grant Scheme.
Together with Scholarship from the Foundation of Odder Hojskole the study fee will be nearly free for you.
You only have to pay for the application fee, the fee for materials and from year 2009 the little part of the study fee which is not paid by the Grant and the Scholarship.
The total study fee for Spring semester is 23,900 DKK. The Grant and Scholarship from Odder Hojskole covers 22,900 DKK. The student have to pay only 1,000 DKK of the study fee.
The 12 new EU countries are Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.
Cirius is the Danish coordination agency for international educational programmes.
Odder Hojskole will take care of the application for the support by Cirius.

Fee for materials 1,500 DKK:

1. Compulsory fee for materials = 900 DKK (120 EUR)
   This covers overhead expenses and facilities for the classes, photocopies, the school picture, the Danish folk high school songbook and free use of the Internet.
2. Fee for extra use of materials after personal account is normally between 0 and 600 DKK (0 - 80 EUR) depending on how many materials you have used.
   This covers materials, admission, tickets, and drive in the bus of the school. The teachers make a specification for each subject.
3. It will be settled at the ending of the semester, and depending on your use of materials you will receive an amount back or pay the extra amount.

The compulsory fee for materials 900 DKK covers:

575 DKK = overhead expenses and facilities for the classes
150 DKK = The Danish folk high school songbook.
100 DKK = The school picture. Compulsory. You will have it the last day.
50 DKK = Free use of the Internet
25 DKK = Photocopies
