Welcome to Odder Hojskole
a Danish folk high school

Odder Hojskole is situated in Odder, a middle-sized town on the east coast of Jutland 20 km south from Denmark’s second largest town, Aarhus (300.000 inhabitants). Odder is the geographical centre of Denmark.
Due to its location in the countryside and at the same time being situated near Aarhus, which is a cultural centre of Jutland, the school combines a wide range of outdoor activities and a great cultural experience.

Odder Hojskole offers 50 different subjects supervised by professional teachers. It is important that our students should study hard and participate enthusiastically and actively in all the lessons and activities.

Note that there are no exams in any subject because we truly believe that the best learning results can be achieved only when everyone feels free and ready for discoveries and new experience.

Each pupil creates his/her own schedule, selecting subjects according to the individual interests and needs.

		Classes with the atmosphere of inspiration, enthusiasm and active participation. Developing skills and competences in an open, tolerant and trustful environment. Getting a lot of new friends and creating lifelong connections. We have rooms for about 70-80 students. We have Danish and English language classes for foreigners. We have classes Danish history, culture, education, and political system.
